Job description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. In this role, you will integrate with the platform engineering team to advance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, manage Kubernetes deployments, and develop Helm configurations that ensure scalability, security, and efficiency., * Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi).

  • Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters, including Helm charts for complex applications and services.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring for scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement best practices.
  • Ensure secure, resilient environments aligned with DoD and Zero Trust principles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across multiple environments.

Requirements

This position offers the opportunity to support the development and deployment of a next-generation modeling and simulation framework. While direct M&S experience is not required, we are looking for innovative, self-starting engineers who thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related field.

  • US citizenship and ability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong containerization experience (Docker, Podman, CRI-O, or similar.)
  • Scripting experience for automation and operational tasks (Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Strong hands-on experience administering and securing Kubernetes environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience securing and maintaining Helm charts.
  • Proficiency with Git and Git-based workflows.
  • Strong Linux/SELinux system administration background.
  • Experience working with system context and security context configurations
  • Experience working with container sockets and understanding the related security implications, * Security+, CISSP, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
  • Familiarity with DoD security practices and hardened Linux distributions.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers.
