Job description

As a Software Developer, you will join an international team of developers working on our online HR & Payroll platform. You will be involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle and work with leading Cloud Oracle technology.

What would you do as a Software Developer at Popay?

Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems;
Produce clean and efficient code based on specifications;
Integrate software components and third-party programs;
Develop, test and deploy programs and applications;
Modify software to fix errors, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces;
Work with team members and other relevant parties on technical issues including software system design and maintenance;
Direct software programming and documentation development for reference and reporting;
Recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications of an existing system;
Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance; and
Maintain up-to-date systems to ensure strong functionality and optimization.

Requirements

BSc/BA in Computer Science or any other related field;
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position;
Experience with:

Software design and development in a test-driven environment;
Oracle technology (PL/SQL, APEX); and
Databases.

Knowledge of coding languages and frameworks/ systems;
Familiar with Agile development methodologies;
Ability to learn new languages and technologies;
Meticulous and resourceful; and
Excellent problem-solving skills.

Language

Fluent in English (oral and written); and
Knowledge of French will be an advantage.
