As a key member of the team of the European Automotive Customer Application team you will be responsible for:

  • Direct interface with customer engineering and technical teams to assist the sales representatives in promoting differentiated NXP Automotive system solutions by providing technology overviews, supporting architecture and system level discussions.

  • Support customer projects from design-in phase to production through appropriate training, board design review, configuration and support of NXP products.

  • Collaborate and consult with internal technical support and engineering to resolve customer issues.

  • Leverage customer meetings to gather intelligence about the customer’s end product plans and relevant silicon requirements, and communicate intelligence to the product groups to participate in new products definition.

  • Understand the competitive landscape and contribute to collateral that differentiates NXP products and system solutions.

  • Contribute to the development of technical collateral (application notes, engineering bulletins, etc…) for our customers.

  • Participate in technical conferences and industry shows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in technical customer facing applications role (AE/FAE) or HW/SW system development in Automotive applications

  • Solid knowledge of embedded systems.

  • Good knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded software.

  • Experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving complex problems and board level issues and familiarity with basic JTAG debuggers & lab equipment.
  • Good skills in presenting complex technical subjects to a professional audience
  • Must be professional, detailed, customer-oriented, self-driven and able to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet customer needs.

  • Languages: English, German. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
