Job description
The Programme Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing multiple related projects that collectively deliver organizational objectives. This role ensures alignment between projects, manages interdependencies, and drives successful outcomes through strong governance, stakeholder engagement, and resource optimisation., * Strategic Planning & Governance
- Define programme scope, objectives, and success criteria aligned with organisational strategy.
- Establish and maintain programme governance frameworks and reporting structures.
- Programme Delivery & Coordination
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Manage dependencies, risks, and resource conflicts across projects.
- Apply change, risk, and resource management principles to optimise outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management
- Engage with senior leadership, clients, and vendors to maintain alignment and resolve escalations.
- Build strong relationships across cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Financial & Performance Management
- Develop and manage programme budgets and funding channels.
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure benefits realisation.
- Reporting & Communication
- Prepare clear and timely reports for governance boards and senior stakeholders.
- Communicate programme progress, risks, and mitigation plans effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Programme Manager or in senior project management roles.
- Strong understanding of programme and project management methodologies (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, Agile).
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in programme management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
- Ability to manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in complex, matrixed environments.
- Experience in managing large-scale transformation programmes within banking, technology, or similar sectors.
