Job description
As a (Junior) Data Engineer you will work alongside experienced engineers to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers mobile.de. You will contribute to the full data engineering lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to modelling and monitoring, while developing your skills in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Requirements
- Degree in data engineering, data science, (business) computer science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational hands-on experience with big data technologies in cloud environments (e.g., Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services).
- Familiarity with data integration pipelines and common data technologies such as dbt, Airbyte, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, or BigQuery.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and modern data warehouses; ability to explore and analyse data using SQL.
- Working knowledge of containerisation tools (e.g., Docker) and a foundational understanding of CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with data modelling concepts (e.g., Star Schema or Data Vault) is a plus.
- Experience with Python, Scala, or Java is a plus.
- Interest in using AI tools and LLM-assisted workflows to improve productivity and data solutions.
