Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an AI/ML Developer to support a large-scale healthcare technology program focused on enhancing a marketplace platform for healthcare claims, enrollment, and document processing workflows. This position is Remote and supports EST business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). The AI/ML Developer will design, develop, and maintain AI-powered document processing pipelines that transform high-volume unstructured documents into structured business data.   • Process and classify high-volume unstructured documents across multiple formats including PDFs, DOCX files, emails, and scanned documents.
  • Develop data extraction capabilities using LLMs, OCR technologies, and rules-based processing to generate structured business data.
  • Build and maintain RESTful services and event-driven backend systems supporting document processing workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience developing RESTful services and event-driven backend applications in AWS environments.
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock or comparable large language model platforms
  • Expeirence with Python and AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, ECR, IAM, KMS, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with document and text processing technologies, including OCR tools such as Textract, Tesseract, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, Docker containerization and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to obtain a CMS T4 Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree
