Job description
The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting the organization’s data platform across Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server , and Azure. This role develops scalable ETL/ELT solutions, maintains data models and warehouse structures, and ensures trusted, high-quality data is available for reporting, analytics, operations, and business decision-making. This individual will partner with analytics, development, and business teams to deliver reliable data solutions while maintaining strong standards for data quality, security, governance, and documentation. Experience supporting healthcare data environments is highly preferred., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions across Snowflake, SQL Server, Azure, and related data services.
- Build, orchestrate, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to support reliable data integration, transformation, and delivery.
- Develop and maintain dimensional and warehouse-oriented data models that support reporting, analytics, and operational needs.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, reconciliation, and security through monitoring, validation, and access control practices.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, data pipelines, queries, and Snowflake workloads for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to databases, data pipelines, integrations, and platform performance.
- Partner with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
- Support business intelligence, reporting, dashboards, and other data products used across the organization.
- Create and maintain documentation including data definitions, lineage, source-to-target mappings, and transformation logic.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT development, Microsoft SQL Server, and Snowflake.
- Experience with Coalesce or similar data transformation/orchestration tools.
- Proficiency with scripting or programming languages such as SQL, Python, PowerShell, or C#.
- Experience supporting reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and best practices for handling sensitive healthcare and business data.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure-based data services.
- Experience with source control and deployment/CI-CD processes.
- Healthcare industry experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise analytics and business intelligence environments.
Benefits & conditions
- $87,100-157,450 per year
