Mainframe IMS and CICS

Exposure to JAVA Support Activities:

1. Perform L3 support
2. Perform Maintenance and support activities
3. Able to provide support on Weekend (rotation basis)
4. Support nature is 13*7 (rotation basis)
5. Flexible to work in Shift (2 PM to 11 PM). This is mostly for week in month
6. Able to co-ordinate with offshore team., Design, coding, and testing: Mainframe assemblers are responsible for designing, coding, and testing application programs using the IBM Assembler language. They should also be familiar with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and have a solid understanding of mainframe operating systems, such as z/OS. Debugging and troubleshooting: They perform debugging and troubleshooting of mainframe applications to ensure they function correctly and efficiently. Documentation: Mainframe assemblers may also be responsible for documenting the design of the assembler programs, explaining how they work, and providing guidelines for their use. Technical support: They provide technical support for mainframe systems, optimizing performance, and ensuring compliance with coding standards and technical design. These assemblers work closely with system architects and analysts to understand the requirements and specifications of a system, and then translate these into efficient, low-level machine code. They must keep themselves updated with the latest mainframe technologies and assembler programming techniques to ensure the continuous functionality and reliability of mainframe systems.

Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Proficient in coding in one or more languages. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages. Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security Hands on experience in IBM-Z/OS COBOL, CICS,IMS DB/DC, DB2, VSAM, JCL, CA7, Changeman/Endeavor Mainframe application development suits and IBM WebSphere MQ messaging solution. Experience in creating API using zO/S connect & Kafka integration is a plus. Demonstrated knowledge and work experience on AWS is a plus. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Familiarity with modern front-end technologies Knowledge on banking domain & credit card is a plus., 7. Good knowledge of Support process., Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in COBOL Mainframe Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of z/OS Database Technologies: Expertise in IMS database concepts including IMS/DB and IMS/DC Transaction Processing: Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces Job Control Language (JCL): Ability to write and manage JCL scripts for batch processing System Administration: Basic understanding of mainframe system administration tasks like data set management and security Must Have: IMS/DB, CICS, COBOL and JCL
