Job description
Your role as IT Support Engineer will be to provide a mixture of desktop support and system administration to the users of the London office and smaller regional offices across Europe., Part of the role will be to get involved in projects across the tech landscape, and also identify areas where technology can improve current processes and procedures., * Provide technical support and assistance to end-users in person, over the phone, or via remote access tools.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripherals for end-users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Ensure that all hardware and software is properly maintained and updated with the latest patches and security updates.
- Document all support activities in a helpdesk ticketing system.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use hardware and software applications.
- Assist with the rollout of new hardware and software applications to end-users.
- Escalate complex issues to senior support staff or other IT teams as necessary.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in providing IT end-user support.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, hardware, and software applications.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform including Intune and Autopilot
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and skills as required.
- Ideally experience working in a professional services business i.e. banking, finance, etc.
