Job description

We are supporting a Bristol based defence firm who are looking to onboard a Network Engineer.

You will be supporting secure, high-impact defence projects. You’ll work across both physical and software-defined networks, helping design, build and maintain resilient infrastructure in highly secure environments., * Designing, implementing and supporting enterprise network solutions

Working across routers, switches, servers and software-defined networks
Monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues and ensuring high availability
Managing VPNs, remote access and wireless networks

Requirements

Must be DV Clearable
Strong experience in networking roles
Strong hands-on experience with both physical infrastructure (routers, switches, servers) and software-defined networking
Experience working within enterprise-scale network environments
Solid understanding of Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking concepts
Knowledge of high availability and resilience protocols
Experience with next-generation firewalls
Familiarity with network monitoring tools
Strong troubleshooting skills using tools such as Wireshark
Experience with VPNs and remote access solutions
