Job description
We’re looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion specialist to take the lead on the Order to Cash workstream within the Home Office’s Metis Finance and Commercial team.
The Metis Commercial and Finance team works closely with the Home Office’s Digital Directorate to maintain and develop the department’s Oracle Fusion-based ERP system, additionally covering General Ledger, Procure to Pay and expenses. Our aim is to improve and enhance the system’s functionality, making our corporate tools simpler and more intuitive, saving staff time, and enabling better data-driven decisions across the organisation. Metis succeeds through strong business engagement, high user adoption and a willingness to update policies and processes in line with industry best practice.
As the Order to Cash Functional Lead within Financial Control, you’ll play a key role in shaping and assuring the Oracle Finance solution. Drawing on your broad knowledge of Oracle Financials Cloud and current best practice, you’ll ensure the delivery of effective, high-quality business solutions., As an experienced ERP Finance, Project or Systems professional, you’ll be the OTC subject matter expert, responsible for shaping how the Oracle Finance solution works across the department. Day to day, you’ll:
- Lead and develop the Order to Cash function within Oracle Fusion.
- Work with product and delivery teams to prioritise and deliver improvements.
- Translate business and technical requirements into clear, practical solutions.
- Manage quarterly Oracle updates and support the onboarding of new clients to the Metis platform.
- Use insights from users and data to improve processes, controls and overall experience.
- Provide expert advice to colleagues across finance, commercial and digital teams.
- You may also occasionally support team leadership, risk management and change control for the OTC area.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Financials, particularly Order to Cash.
- Confidence acting as an SME and trusted advisor.
- A practical, problem-solving approach and the ability to work with complex financial data.
- The ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset and an interest in improving how finance works across the organisation.
