Job description

  • Lead the design, integration, validation and qualification of advanced e-beam and SEM systems and subsystems.
  • Define system requirements, interfaces, and verification strategies for new product development.
  • Lead system-level troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate technical trade-offs and optimize system performance.
  • Support product introduction, manufacturing transfer, and technology deployment activities.

Requirements

We are seeking an E-Beam Systems Design Engineer to lead the development, integration, and qualification of advanced electron beam (e-beam) systems for semiconductor applications. This role requires deep technical expertise in system design, electronics, and multidisciplinary engineering, along with strong cross-functional leadership and system-level problem solving.

The successful candidate will drive requirements development, integration strategies, and product qualification activities while working closely with electrical, software, mechanical, physics, and product engineering teams. This position is ideal for a systems engineering professional with semiconductor equipment experience and a strong background in advanced instrumentation and e-beam technologies., * Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a closely related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in semiconductor equipment, advanced instrumentation, or related high-technology product development.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineering (SE) professional, leading multidisciplinary technical development efforts.
  • Strong foundation in electronics, hardware/software integration, and system-level engineering.
  • Experience with requirements development, system integration, verification, validation, and technical risk management.
  • Proven ability to independently lead cross-functional engineering activities and execute complex technical projects.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills., * Industry experience in semiconductor equipment, advanced instrumentation, or related high-technology products.
  • SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) or e-beam system design experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with mixed-signal electronics, FPGA-based designs, or embedded control systems.
  • Experience using scripting and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar) for system characterization, test automation, diagnostics, and data acquisition.
  • Experience with vacuum technology
  • Experience with high-voltage technology
  • Experience with requirements allocation, requirements traceability, verification planning, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies., Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master’s Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor’s Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years

Base Pay Range: $159,500.00 - $271,200.00 Annually
