Data Scientist / Machine Learning

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to join Oney’s Data Innovation & AI department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of AI development within the financial services sector. Your mission will be to develop and accelerate the integration of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI solutions to leverage data, optimize operational processes, and enhance customer experience. You will be an integral part of the Data Science team, working on creating innovative AI tools and solutions that enable Oney to deliver top-tier products and services to its clients.

Key responsibilities include designing and optimizing scoring models for risk assessment and customer behavior, ensuring model stability through training, deployment, and continuous monitoring to detect drifts. You will collaborate closely with business experts and risk teams to refine models and integrate AI solutions into digital customer journeys via real-time APIs, enabling personalized offers and instant scoring. Additionally, you will contribute to the technical architecture, following best practices in cloud computing and MLOps, to streamline deployment and industrialization of AI models. The role also involves prototyping and deploying Generative AI agents (such as LLMs and RAG systems) to transform internal processes, automate credit offers, and improve customer interactions, ensuring high performance and coherence of these agents., * Design, develop, and optimize scoring models for risk assessment and customer behavior analysis

• Train, deploy, and monitor models to ensure stability and performance over time
• Collaborate with business and risk teams to refine models and align with strategic objectives
• Integrate AI models into digital customer journeys via real-time APIs, enhancing personalization and decision-making
• Participate in defining technical architecture and best practices for cloud deployment and MLOps
• Prototype and deploy Generative AI agents (LLMs, RAG systems) to automate internal processes and improve customer interactions
• Implement architectures for automating credit approval processes and document analysis
• Evaluate and monitor AI agent performance, ensuring coherence, diversity, and regulatory compliance
• Stay updated on the latest AI advancements and continuously improve existing models and solutions

• 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Data Science and MLOps
• Strong expertise in supervised learning models: Logistic Regression, Tree-based models, Gradient Boosting (XGBoost, LightGBM)
• Proficiency with explainable AI techniques: SHAP, LIME, and related methods
• Hands-on experience with Generative Models and Large Language Models (OpenAI, HuggingFace, fine-tuning)
• Solid knowledge of Data Engineering and MLOps ecosystems: Pandas, Scikit-learn, MLflow, Pydantic, FastAPI, LangChain, Kubernetes, Docker
• Experience in deploying models as APIs and managing automated pipelines
• Strong understanding of model monitoring, including data quality, performance metrics, drift detection, and back testing
• Familiarity with Snowflake and banking regulatory requirements is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and disciplines
