Job description
The Data & AI Specialist supports the Data & AI Leader of Agentic Tax Processes & Platforms in designing, architecting, and building agentic tax workflows underpinned by AI-ready data products and robust data engineering. This role sits at the intersection of tax domain understanding, data architecture and engineering, and applied AI and agent orchestration., * Agentic Workflow & AI Design
- Design agentic workflows for tax processes, including task-level agent responsibilities, agent-to-agent communication patterns, human-in-the-Loop and escalation models, feedback loops and agent performance monitoring and evaluations.
- Define reusable agent blueprints aligned to Lean-derived task definitions.
- Apply leading-edge agentic design and build methodologies (e.g., use of Codex, Factory AI, GitHub Copilot).
- Data Architecture & AI-Ready Data Products
- Build AI-ready data marts that expose tax data at the right grain, maintain lineage and quality controls, and support deterministic and probabilistic reasoning.
- Build data ingestion and transformation pipelines from ERP systems, tax platforms, semi-structured documents, and external data sources.
- Agent Governance & Security
- Build embedded agent and workflow governance and security, ensuring compatibility and integration with client governance models and technology (e.g., Microsoft Agent 365).
- Design and embed real-time controls and risk monitoring.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in data architecture, data engineering, and analytics, including SQL database building, database design, and data modeling.
- Advanced certifications in AI, machine learning, cloud computing, or data engineering are highly advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and AI tooling such as Azure ML, Databricks, MLflow, LangChain, LangGraph.
- Strong grounding in data modeling, data governance and quality, large-scale data integration.
- Hands-on experience applying AI/ML or advanced analytics in production environments.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages, e.g., C++, Java, Python and key ML libraries (PyTorch, PySpark, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a relentless desire to learn and keep up with technology developments.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical mindset for transforming abstract concepts into clear insights, requirements and solutions., * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent work experience; higher relevant education preferred.
- Prior work in Tax Technology or Finance platforms.
- Experience with agentic AI concepts, orchestration, and workflow-driven automation.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern AI stacks., * Quality and reusability of AI-ready data marts.
- Stability and scalability of agent deployments.Speed from Lean design to working agent.
- Reuse of assets across clients and service lines.
