Senior Android Software Engineer

Plan A Technologies is looking for a Senior Android Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain secure, high-quality Android applications supporting our hospitality platform. The successful candidate will work closely with backend, IoT, QA and product teams to deliver guest-facing capabilities, improve platform stability and contribute to the evolution of our Android architecture., * Design, develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

• Implement scalable, maintainable features within a modular Android architecture.
• Integrate applications with backend services using REST APIs and MQTT messaging.
• Participate in architectural design, code reviews and technical planning.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues across application and integration layers.
• Maintain high code quality through automated testing and peer reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Backend and DevOps teams throughout the software lifecycle.
• Contribute to CI/CD improvements and application performance, security and reliability.

Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of Android development experience and strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to be considered for this role., * BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years of commercial Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM).
• Experience integrating REST APIs and MQTT messaging.
• Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing applications for hospitality, IoT or connected-device environments is
• highly desirable.
• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to Macau on a weekly basis as required.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
