Job description

Come join Intuit as part of the GBSG Finance team as a Financial Analyst partnering with QuickBooks Lifecycle Marketing. The Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is Intuit’s largest business segment, serving millions of small and mid-market businesses through the QuickBooks platform - including accounting, payments, payroll, capital, and our mid-market offerings. GBSG Finance drives business growth and profitability through strategic, financial, and operational leadership.

This role sits where the product and the customer meet. Much of how QuickBooks acquires, converts, and expands customers now happens inside the product itself - through in-product offers, trial and onboarding flows, upgrade prompts, and attach motions across the portfolio. Your job is to bring financial rigor to those investments: understanding what each lifecycle motion actually returns, where incremental dollars and engineering effort should go, and how those decisions roll up into the plan we commit to.

You will collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, Marketing Operations, and Product to optimize in-product customer acquisition, upsell, and attach across the QuickBooks portfolio. This is a highly matrixed environment - you will not own the spend, but you will own the economics and the point of view, and your influence will come from the quality of your analysis and your ability to bring functional partners to a shared answer.

Responsibilities

Annual operating plan and forecasting:

  • Own the annual operating plan submission for the Ecosystem Lifecycle Marketing Marketing portfolio, driving the build in close collaboration with functional partners including Marketing VPs, Analytics, and Business Operations
  • Lead quarterly forecast and current estimate cycles, owning driver-based assumptions, risk and opportunity management, and timely escalation to keep targets on track
  • Partner with GBSG Strategic Planning and FP&A to connect lifecycle marketing assumptions to segment-level subscriber, revenue, and margin commitments
  • Build the reporting and dashboards that give Marketing and Finance leadership a shared, trusted view of performance against plan

In-product acquisition and growth economics:

  • Optimize marketing investment across in-product customer acquisition strategies - trial conversion, onboarding and activation, in-product offers and upgrade paths, and lifecycle messaging
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Analytics partners on upsell traction from in-product promotions, connecting observed conversion and attach behavior to forecasted revenue and retention outcomes
  • Ingest and monitor the KPIs and leading indicators that matter for lifecycle performance: activation, conversion, retention and churn, attach rate, ARPC, expansion revenue, and payback

Modeling and insight:

  • Build financial models that quantify the return on lifecycle and in-product investments and support prioritization across competing initiatives
  • Build executive presentations that carry a cohesive storyline for GBSG and Intuit senior leadership
  • Improve the predictability of the business by automating and scaling forecast and reporting processes; apply an AI-first mindset to enhance the accuracy, speed, and reach of core FP&A workflows

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in corporate finance/FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, strategy consulting, or a comparable analytical function; experience in a technology, SaaS, or subscription business strongly preferred
  • Working fluency in subscription and funnel economics - conversion, activation, retention and churn, attach and cross-sell, LTV, CAC, payback, ARPC
  • Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel/Google Sheets, with demonstrated ability to build cohort, funnel, and unit economics views that connect analysis to decisions
  • Comfort partnering with Data Science and Analytics teams; familiarity with experimentation and A/B testing concepts and how to read them financially
  • Experience with enterprise planning and BI tools - Oracle EPM/Hyperion Essbase, Anaplan, Tableau or Looker; SQL strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a highly matrixed organization and drive alignment across functional partners without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a track record of partnering effectively with senior non-finance leaders
  • A proactive self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; resourceful and creative in problem solving to move work forward
  • Sharp attention to detail with high standards for accuracy; strong project management and collaboration skills
  • Experience supporting Marketing or Product Marketing preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business required; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred
