Job description

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Performance Test Engineer to serve as the primary performance testing resource supporting a critical healthcare technology environment. This individual will own the performance testing lifecycle, including test planning, script development, execution, monitoring, analysis, and ongoing enhancement of existing performance frameworks., Develop, execute, maintain, and enhance LoadRunner test scripts for new functionality and existing applications.

Create performance test plans, workload models, and testing scenarios based on business and technical requirements.

Conduct load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.

Analyze performance data and identify system bottlenecks across application, database, infrastructure, and network layers.

Utilize APM tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and New Relic to investigate and troubleshoot performance issues.

Build and maintain performance dashboards and performance reporting metrics.

Partner with developers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure application performance requirements are met.

Support ongoing enhancements to existing performance testing frameworks and standards.

Provide recommendations for performance improvements and establish best practices for performance engineering.

Contribute to performance testing strategy and future roadmap development.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has strong experience with LoadRunner, Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools, and performance dashboarding, with the ability to independently drive performance testing efforts across both new development and existing production enhancements. This team sits remotely, and must be willing to work EST hours, as well as obtain a Public Trust Clearence., 6+ years of experience in performance, load, stress, and scalability testing.

-Strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner.

-Experience with monitoring/APM tools including Datadog, CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and/or New Relic.

-Ability to create, execute, and maintain performance test scripts.

-Experience building performance dashboards and analyzing system performance.

-Experience supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

-Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and drive solutions.

-Ability to multitask, operate in a fast-paced environment, and operate under tight timelines -Python or Java experience

-CMS experience (Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services)

-Experience supporting applications in highly regulated, fast-paced environments such as healthcare, financial services, insurance, or government/federal programs.

Benefits & conditions

$50hr to $72hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
