Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Data Engineer to join our team and drive the development of robust data solutions that empower strategic decision-making. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouses, ensuring seamless integration of diverse data sources. Your expertise will enable the organization to harness the full potential of big data analytics, supporting business growth and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced environment dedicated to data-driven success., * Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Informatica to process large volumes of structured and unstructured data.

  • Build and maintain efficient data warehouses utilizing SQL-based technologies like Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Apache Hive to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data solutions.
  • Implement database design best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and performance across multiple platforms.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, and VBA to streamline data processing workflows.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform routine maintenance on data infrastructure components.
  • Stay current with emerging big data technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our data architecture.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a strong understanding of database design principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python for developing scalable data solutions.
  • Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services for deploying and managing big data applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of big data frameworks including Hadoop, Spark, and Apache Hive.
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server; experience with Data Warehouse architecture is highly desirable.
  • Strong analysis skills to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools like Informatica is preferred.
  • Ability to write efficient SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of Bash scripting or Shell scripting for automation tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical issues.
