Senior Technical Architect

We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect with deep expertise in SAP Global Trade Services (GTS E4H) and S/4HANA International Trade to lead end-to-end solution design and delivery for global trade, compliance, and customs processes.

The role involves owning architecture, driving implementations, and ensuring regulatory compliance across regions while collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Architecture & Design

Define end-to-end architecture for SAP GTS E4H and S/4HANA International Trade Conduct fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, and design workshops Prepare solution design, functional specs, and architecture documents Align solutions to business, compliance, and enterprise standards

1. Implementation & Delivery

Lead implementations, upgrades, and rollouts (brownfield/greenfield)

Configure and deliver: Compliance Management (SPL, Embargo, Licensing) Customs Management (Import/Export, Duty, Transit) Preference Management (FTA, LTVD, Origin determination) Manage data migration, cutover, and go-live support

1. Global Trade & Compliance

Ensure compliance with EU, US, APAC trade regulations

Implement customs processes using: ATLAS, CDS, PLDA, DMS, PASSAR, Swiss e-dec, etc.

Design solutions for: Export/Import legal controls SPL screening & sanction checks Customs e-filing and broker integrations

1. Integration & Technical Enablement

Architect integrations across: SAP S/4HANA (SD, MM, EWM, TM, FI, PP) External customs systems (Seeburger, MIC, Kewill) Manage interfaces: IDOC, RFC, EDI, APIs

Support custom developm

1. Testing, Training & Documentation

Lead SIT/UAT cycles and test strategy

Prepare: Test scripts, training materials, user manuals Conduct end-user training and enablement sessions

1. Stakeholder Management & Governance

Act as SPOC for business, delivery, and leadership teams Drive design sign-offs, issue resolution, and roadmap alignment Ensure governance, quality, and audit compliance

1. Agile Delivery & Leadership

Work in Agile/Scrum model (sprints, backlog, demos) Provide technical leadership and mentoring Support estimation, planning, and delivery governance

Core Expertise

SAP GTS E4H (mandatory) SAP GTS 11.x / legacy GTS versions S/4HANA International Trade Strong SAP SD integration knowledge

Functional Expertise

Compliance Management (SPL, Licensing, Embargo) Customs Management (Import, Export, Transit, Duty) Preference Processing (FTA, LTVD, Origin determination)

Integration & Tools

Middleware: SAP PI/PO, Seeburger Interfaces: IDOC, RFC, EDI Tools: Solution Manager, HPQC, ALM, Azure, ARIS

Qualifications

15+ years SAP experience with 12+ years in SAP GTS SAP Certification (S/4HANA / SCM preferred) ITIL Certification (preferred) MBA or equivalent qualification Other Requirements
