Java Software Engineer

As a Java Engineer, you’ll join their talented, cross-functional development team working on their innovative fintech platform from architecture to delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with the team and other stakeholders.

You’ll spend your time:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining the backend architecture using Java on the backend and .
• Ensuring code quality through best practices, testing, and code reviews.
• Contributing to architectural discussions and helping shape the technical direction of the products

You’re a passionate engineer who enjoys solving complex problems with clean, maintainable code. You’re curious, proactive, and eager to grow - not just technically, but into a future Lead Developer.

You’ll bring:

• Solid experience with Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
• Bonus: Experience within C#, Kubernetes and Cloud Development
• A good understanding of modern development practices (CI/CD, containerization, REST APIs, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to coach and support others.
• Availability to work onsite in Ghent twice a week.

• Up to €5k gross per month - dependent on ability and experience
