Job description

InfoKernel Technology Services is looking for a Data and Digital Infrastructure Analyst to join our team at Parc Menai in Bangor. You will analyse operational and business data while supporting the digital systems, reporting platforms, and technology infrastructure used by our organisation and its clients.

This role is ideal for an analytical and technically capable professional who can transform complex information into useful insights while maintaining reliable digital processes. You will collaborate with IT specialists, project teams, business users, external suppliers, and client representatives to improve reporting, system performance, data quality, and operational decision-making., * Collect, organise, and analyse data from business systems, digital platforms, and operational databases.

  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualisations that support management and client decisions.
  • Monitor data quality and investigate incomplete, duplicated, or inconsistent records.
  • Maintain reporting databases, digital information systems, and shared data resources.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of digital infrastructure projects.
  • Translate business requirements into practical reporting and system solutions.
  • Develop automated reports and reduce repetitive manual data-processing tasks.
  • Track operational performance, service levels, project outcomes, and key performance indicators.
  • Assist with system integrations, data transfers, and platform migrations.
  • Support users experiencing issues with reporting tools, databases, or digital systems.
  • Document system configurations, reporting processes, data definitions, and technical procedures.
  • Work with IT teams to monitor system availability, access permissions, and data security.
  • Identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities through data analysis.
  • Prepare clear presentations and written summaries for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support testing activities for new systems, dashboards, software updates, and digital tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of system changes, technical issues, and completed improvements.
  • Assist with data-governance, retention, privacy, and regulatory-compliance activities.
  • Coordinate with external technology providers when specialist support is required.

Requirements

  • At least 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, digital infrastructure, information systems, or a similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and lookup functions.
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or a comparable data-visualisation platform.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Ability to collect, clean, organise, and interpret large datasets.
  • Experience producing dashboards, management reports, and performance summaries.
  • Good understanding of digital systems, cloud platforms, and business applications.
  • Ability to identify data-quality problems and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation ability.
  • Confidence communicating technical findings to non-technical colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to manage several reporting requests and technical priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • A degree or professional qualification in data analytics, computer science, information systems, business intelligence, or a related discipline is preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Query.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or another data-analysis language.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or other cloud environments.
  • Experience with APIs, system integrations, and automated data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Power Automate, or Power Apps.
  • Experience supporting public-sector, education, healthcare, or commercial technology projects.
  • Familiarity with data-protection requirements and the UK GDPR.
  • Understanding of database administration and information-security principles.
  • Experience participating in system implementation or digital-transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and master-data management.
  • Relevant Microsoft, CompTIA, data analytics, or cloud certification.

Pay: £3,000.00-£3,300.00 per month
