Software Engineer - Core Marketing Platforms

Experteer Overview In this role you will build scalable, high-performance microservices within FanDuel’s Core Marketing Platforms, enabling real-time customer communications and personalized campaigns. You will work on event-driven systems that process large data volumes and deliver insights to marketing partners. You’ll contribute to martech solutions enhanced by AI, helping drive customer engagement and retention at scale. Pay / Benefits * Design and implement scalable microservices and event-driven components * Translate designs into clean, well-tested code and deliver on schedule * Write secure, maintainable code with low defect rates * Contribute to technical design, scoping, and prioritization discussions * Collaborate across teams, surface technical risks and opportunities * Share knowledge through documentation and team discussions * Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and planning * Own parts of product and technology and become a subject matter expert * Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolutions; support customers * Take part in on-call rotation and maintain system reliability Tasks * Degree in Computer Science or related software engineering field, or equivalent practical experience * 2+ years of relevant work experience * Strong backend experience with Java * Understanding of AWS and DevOps concepts such as IaC (Terraform) * Experience with event streaming technologies (SNS/SQS or Kafka) * Good grasp of relational and non-relational databases, messaging queues, and concurrency handling * Understanding of modern architectures, design patterns, and platform nuances * Familiarity with orchestration and containerisation (Kubernetes) * Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and testing concepts in SDLC * Familiarity with Agile environments * Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment Key requirements * salary * bonus * pension * private healthcare * share save scheme * flexible working
