Java Developer

Clarion Logic Ltd is excited to recruit a permanent Java Software Engineer, * Design, develop, and maintain robust back-end systems built on Java and the Spring Framework, working across large and mature codebases.

• Deploy, manage, and optimize Java applications running on Apache Tomcat and/or IBM WebSphere Application Servers.
• Build, maintain, and integrate robust RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Collaborate within Agile, cross-functional delivery teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows using Git.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in back-end Java development who possesses the following skills:

• Java & Spring: Strong back-end development experience using Java and the Spring Framework (experience with mature/large codebases is highly desirable).
• Application Servers: Solid experience deploying and managing applications on Apache Tomcat and/or IBM WebSphere.
• APIs: Demonstrable experience creating RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
• Testing & TDD: Strong commitment to Test-Driven Development with hands-on experience across unit, integration, and E2E testing (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Jest, Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or Detox).
• DevOps / Workflows: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile delivery methodologies.
