Technical Consultant (Warehouse Management Systems)

As a WMS Technical Consultant, you will work directly with customers, Project Managers, Solution Architects, Developers, and Support teams to design, configure, and implement warehouse and logistics software solutions.

You will play a key role throughout the implementation lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to configuration, testing, training, go-live, and post-implementation support.

This is a hands-on customer-facing role that combines technology, consulting, problem-solving, and operational expertise., * Conduct customer discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions

• Understand warehouse, logistics, and supply chain operations and translate business requirements into software solutions
• Configure and implement WMS and TMS solutions
• Develop functional specifications, process flows, and implementation documentation
• Support testing, validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment activities
• Deliver customer training and knowledge transfer programs
• Assist with solution rollouts, cutovers, and go-live support
• Work closely with internal technical and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes
• Identify opportunities to optimise customer processes and maximise solution value
• Build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders throughout implementation projects

• Proven experience implementing, configuring, or supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Experience working within warehousing, distribution, logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, retail, or 3PL environments
• Customer-facing consulting or implementation experience
• Strong understanding of warehouse operational processes and workflows
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technology solutions
• Experience facilitating workshops, testing activities, and customer training
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

• Blue Yonder
• Manhattan Associates
• Körber / HighJump
• SAP EWM
• Oracle WMS
• Microlistics
• Other enterprise WMS platforms

As well as:

• API and systems integration experience
• EDI implementations
• Data migration activities
• SQL or database experience
• Exposure to Transport Management Systems (TMS)
