Job description

Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Data Engineer in Louisville, KY.

Duties:

Design, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable data pipelines that support data collection, processing, and transformation.
Automate data workflows and ensure the timely availability of clean, structured data for downstream consumption.
Develop and optimize the architecture for collecting, storing, and processing large-scale data across multiple data sources.
Integrate data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse or data lake.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business intelligence teams to understand data needs and requirements.
Assist in the design and implementation of machine learning models and other advanced analytics solutions.

Requirements

7 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree, This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related roles.

Requires 6 years of experience in ETL tools including SQL Server Integration Server or Snowpipe.

Requires 5 years of experience in each of the following:

Data pipeline orchestration tools including SQL Agent, Perfect, or similar technologies.
Data warehousing, data lakes, or distributed computing.
Relational and NoSQL databases include SQL Server, or Snowflake or MongoDB.

Requires 3 years of experience in Cloud technologies including AWS, GCP, or Azure.

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role.

Requires 5 years of experience in each of the following:

ETL tools including SQL Server Integration Server or Snowpipe.
Data pipeline orchestration tools including SQL Agent, Perfect, or similar technologies.
Data warehousing, data lakes, or distributed computing.
Relational and NoSQL databases include SQL Server, or Snowflake or MongoDB.

Requires 3 years of experience in Cloud technologies including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
