Job description

We unite exceptional builders: engineers, architects, creators, across the BENELUX and the GCC. Vetted through VECTOR7 ‘s multi-signal evaluation, you evaluate once and carry that credential forever. This is more than work. This is where builders build the future., RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior Front-End Drupal Developer for a high-impact, freelance mission with our client, a leading institution at the heart of Europe’s financial ecosystem. You’ll join a dynamic team to deliver a new e-commerce platform for numismatic products, built on the latest Drupal 11 and PHP 8.3 stack. This is a unique opportunity to shape a public-facing, multilingual digital experience that will set new standards for quality, accessibility, and performance. Why This Role Matters

Our client is launching a flagship e-commerce platform that will serve collectors and the public across multiple languages and devices. Your expertise will ensure the platform is visually stunning, accessible to all, and robustly engineered for reliability and security. The work you deliver will directly impact the success of the platform’s launch and its ongoing reputation for excellence in digital engagement. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Translating Figma mockups into pixel-perfect, production-ready Drupal templates for catalog pages, product sheets, checkout flows, customer areas, and editorial content.
  • Developing and enriching a scalable design system: building reusable components, ensuring visual consistency, and documenting components for future use.
  • Implementing modern CSS (including Tailwind) and vanilla JavaScript (ES6+) to deliver seamless interactions, dynamic galleries, carousels, and advanced form behaviors.
  • Ensuring responsive, mobile-first design and cross-browser compatibility for all user-facing components.
  • Championing accessibility by adhering to WCAG standards, optimizing HTML semantics, and supporting keyboard navigation and screen readers.
  • Optimizing front-end performance: image optimization, efficient loading strategies, and compliance with Core Web Vitals.
  • Integrating multilingual support (FR/EN/DE) for both content and interface elements, ensuring flawless translation compatibility.
  • Collaborating closely with back-end developers to connect templates to real data and participating in code reviews for quality assurance.
  • Transferring knowledge to the internal team and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.
  • Delivering all code, templates, and documentation via validated merge requests, fully aligned with project standards and Figma mockups.
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups and sprint reviews, to drive project momentum.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of front-end development experience, with at least 3 years in Drupal theming (Drupal 8/9/10/11): Twig, preprocess functions, libraries, render arrays, and theme systems.
  • Expertise in modern CSS: architecture, flexbox, grid, responsive (mobile-first) design, and animations.
  • Advanced vanilla JavaScript (ES6+), with no reliance on frameworks.
  • Proven experience integrating Figma (or equivalent) mockups with high fidelity.
  • Deep understanding of web accessibility: WCAG 2.2, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, and screen reader support.
  • Proficiency with Git in a collaborative team environment (merge requests, code review, rebase).
  • Fluent in French (working language) and technical English.

Appreciated Skills

  • Tailwind CSS (ideally v4).
  • Drupal Single Directory Components (SDC).
  • Experience with multilingual Drupal and e-commerce theming.
  • Front-end performance optimization: Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, image optimization (Drupal image styles).
  • Familiarity with containerized environments, Composer, and the Drupal back-end ecosystem.
  • Background in banking, institutional, or regulated environments.

Language Proficiency

  • Fluent French (mandatory, working language).
  • Technical English (required for documentation and collaboration).
  • German is a plus for multilingual integration.

Other Requirements

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to mockup fidelity.
  • Autonomy and rigor, especially in high-security or regulated contexts.
  • Clear, proactive communication with both technical and design teams.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Availability for on-site work in LuxembourgBelgium (remote work is not available for this mission).
  • Freelance status required for this mission.
