As a Medior Technical IT Project Manager, you help translate business needs into well-structured IT delivery, keeping teams aligned across scope, planning, quality, risks and dependencies. You combine project management skills with a solid technical understanding of modern IT environments, including cloud, APIs and application landscapes.

You will work in a Belgian financial services environment, supporting IT projects that connect business priorities with technical delivery. The context can include banking, insurance or payments-related projects, often involving delivery teams, business stakeholders, external partners and management. Projects may be organised in a hybrid agile/waterfall way, with a strong focus on planning, coordination, quality and clear communication.
Your Tasks
- Coordinate IT project activities from scope definition to delivery.
- Translate business needs into clear project plans, milestones and actions.
- Align technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners.
- Monitor planning, budget, quality, risks, issues and dependencies.
- Support testing activities together with test teams and end users.
- Prepare clear project reporting with attention points and proposed solutions.
- Challenge and improve project processes, tools and ways of working.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in IT, business or project management.
- First experience in IT project management, ideally in a complex organisation.
- Good general IT understanding, with familiarity in areas such as cloud, APIs, applications and system dependencies.
- Understanding of IT delivery methodologies, including agile, waterfall or hybrid approaches.
- Able to structure work, follow up priorities and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch or French, combined with professional English.
- Positive mindset, with ownership, collaboration and a pragmatic way of working.
- Experience in financial services is a strong plus.
