Job description
- Design and implement cloud solutions that meet business objectives, with clearly defined operational KPIs for availability, reliability, performance, and ownership.
- Manage and optimise cloud infrastructure and operations, ensuring cost efficiency, performance, availability, and operational excellence.
- Conduct cloud cost analysis and manage expenditure using FinOps practices, including budgeting, forecasting, rightsizing, and showback/chargeback models.
- Design and implement secure cloud architectures based on the shared responsibility model, Zero Trust principles, encryption, and relevant compliance requirements.
- Ensure cloud solutions comply with applicable regulatory and security frameworks, including GDPR and other relevant standards.
- Automate cloud processes and operational workflows using scripting, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and service issues to maintain defined availability, reliability, and performance targets.
- Collaborate with development teams to design, deploy, and support cloud-based applications and services.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to improve capabilities, efficiency, scalability, and cost optimisation.
- Manage the end-to-end cloud architecture lifecycle, including strategy definition, architecture design, implementation, migration, and operational support.
- Design and establish secure cloud landing zones, including governance guardrails, policies, tagging, RBAC, and well-defined environment hierarchies.
- Plan and execute cloud migrations, including networking, data migration, workload transition, and detailed operational runbooks.
- Implement comprehensive observability capabilities covering monitoring, logging, and tracing.
- Establish and support incident response processes to ensure service continuity and operational resilience.
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity strategies with clearly defined RTO/RPO objectives.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering cloud architectures, systems, configurations, and operational processes.
- Provide cloud architecture expertise and technical guidance to stakeholders, development teams, and other technical groups.
- Support the adoption of DevSecOps practices and integrate cloud infrastructure with modern software delivery processes.
- Continuously monitor developments in cloud technologies and identify opportunities to modernise and improve enterprise cloud environments., * Prestigious projects within European institutions.

Requirements
- Professional experience designing and implementing cloud solutions using platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or OVHcloud.
- Knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V, including their application in hybrid and cloud-hosted infrastructures.
- Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience or knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep.
- Good understanding of cloud networking concepts and services.
- Knowledge of cloud security standards and compliance frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, and optimisation tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, AWS CodeCommit, and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with cloud database services such as Amazon RDS and Google Cloud SQL.
- Knowledge of advanced cloud services and enterprise technologies, including AI/ML, BI/DWH, DevSecOps, serverless computing, and SaaS platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform and ServiceNow.
- Understanding of cloud cost management and optimisation principles, including FinOps, rightsizing, budgeting, forecasting, and resource optimisation.
- Knowledge of cloud governance practices, including policies, tagging, RBAC, environment management, and compliance guardrails.
- Understanding of observability, incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity principles.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues while ensuring reliability and performance.
- Ability to evaluate different technology options and design cost-effective architectures aligned with organisational objectives.
- Flexibility and willingness to quickly adopt emerging cloud services, frameworks, and technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple cloud initiatives, resources, and environments effectively.
- Strong commitment to accuracy, security, compliance, and optimisation in cloud deployments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence technical and business decision-making.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French would be considered an additional asset.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on delivering reliable and effective cloud solutions.
Minimum level of expertise: Normal.
Mandatory: For the Normal level, at least one Associate-level or higher cloud certification from AWS, Microsoft, or another recognised cloud provider, in a domain directly related to the position.
For Advanced/Senior level: For AWS, an AWS Professional-level certification and at least one AWS Specialty certification in directly relevant domains. For other cloud providers, a Professional-level or higher cloud certification in a directly relevant domain would be required.
