IT Platform Engineer

You will become part of the Enterprise Data Lake team, where you’ll help build and improve the bank’s cloud-based data platform using modern engineering practices and Azure technologies.

What you’ll do

As an IT Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Enterprise Data Lake platform. Working closely with engineers, architects, product owners, and security specialists, you’ll contribute to delivering secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing robust cloud-native software solutions
• Building and maintaining scalable Azure-based data platforms
• Applying software engineering best practices (SOLID principles, Design Patterns, Domain-Driven Design)
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code and DevOps methodologies
• Developing and improving CI/CD pipelines
• Ensuring software quality through automated testing
• Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
• Contributing to continuous improvement and mentoring team members where needed

We’re looking for an engineer who enjoys building reliable software and has experience throughout the complete software development lifecycle., * Strong experience with object-oriented programming (Python preferred)

• Experience developing cloud-based applications (Azure preferred)
• Experience with Databricks and cloud SDKs
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code solutions
• Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD
• Experience applying SOLID principles and software design patterns
• Experience with automated testing (Pytest is a plus)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ownership mentality and a proactive attitude

Nice to have

• Experience with Unity Catalog
• Experience working within enterprise-scale data platforms
• Financial sector experience is considered an advantage
