Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Software Engineer to join an innovative engineering organisation delivering advanced automation solutions for industrial environments.

You will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining software for a variety of automation projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design and programming through testing, validation and commissioning., * Develop and maintain software solutions for automation projects.

• Program, test, install and commission software systems.
• Prepare and maintain software validation and technical documentation.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with quality, budget and planning requirements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project execution.
• Act as the main point of contact for software-related questions from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management and customer teams to deliver successful solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience within automation engineering and software development.
• Strong expertise with:
• Siemens TIA Portal
• SCL
• STL
• LAD (Ladder Logic)
• SQL
• Experience designing and implementing industrial automation software.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Schneider Electric drives.
• Knowledge of .NET technologies.
• Dutch language skills.

Working Arrangement

• Hybrid working model.
• Ability to travel to company offices in Belgium approximately three days per week.
