Join an industry-leading global logistics and data center operations organization. Nexeo HR is hiring a Data Center Production Builds Supervisor to support a high-availability, mission-critical data center facility in Sparks, NV.

This role provides strategic oversight and hands-on leadership for data center infrastructure builds, overseeing end-to-end execution from server rack population through final cabling and quality validation. You will lead large-scale technical teams in a highly regulated, SLA-driven environment while maintaining strong client-facing professionalism, operational discipline, and safety compliance.

This position is ideal for experienced supervisors from data center, technical manufacturing, electronics, military operations, or structured production environments who excel at bridging planning with execution. Apply now!

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily leadership and strategic oversight of data center build operations, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to strict Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
  • Lead teams of Data Center Technicians by prioritizing tasks, balancing workloads, and aligning execution with project timelines
  • Allocate personnel, tools, and equipment to build activities based on project complexity, urgency, and risk
  • Continuously evaluate deployment workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement lean process improvements to increase throughput and reduce “Time to Ready”
  • Act as the final escalation point for build quality, ensuring server rack population, verification, installation, and cabling fully meet client specifications prior to handoff
  • Supervise server rack assembly, cabling, and hardware installation in accordance with schematics, diagrams, and SOPs
  • Ensure precise rack placement on the data center floor using laser measurement tools and documented alignment procedures
  • Conduct and oversee inspections of inbound and outbound materials for quantity, part accuracy, and condition
  • Monitor material movements, returns, and documentation accuracy using inventory and tracking systems
  • Train, mentor, and guide technicians on installation techniques, documentation standards, equipment handling, and new hardware platforms
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including build accuracy rates, deployment speed, and productivity; deliver regular feedback and performance evaluations
  • Enforce strict compliance with data center safety standards, PPE requirements, physical security protocols, and operational policies
  • Maintain a professional presence while communicating with internal stakeholders, operations leaders, and client representatives
  • Prepare detailed daily and weekly production reports using Excel, Word, and internal reporting tools
  • Proactively resolve technical, logistical, and personnel-related challenges to minimize downtime and risk
  • Maintain clean, organized, and audit-ready workspaces in accordance with 5S and data center standards
  • Perform additional operational duties as needed, including lifting, pushing, and pulling materials throughout the shift

Requirements

  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in data center builds, technical manufacturing, electronics production, logistics, military operations, or structured production environments
  • Proven experience managing large teams in SLA-driven or time-critical operations
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Excel and Word, with the ability to navigate inventory, tracking, and reporting systems
  • Hands-on experience with server rack builds, hardware installation, cabling, or technical assembly (strongly preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and documented procedures
  • Background in process optimization, continuous improvement, or lean methodologies preferred
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance, inventory control, and documentation accuracy
  • Highly professional demeanor with excellent client-facing communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capability under pressure
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work on the data center floor
  • Reliable transportation to the USA Parkway worksite
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must pass a national background check (no felonies ever; no misdemeanors within the last 7 years)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
