Your tasks

Scope

The main role of the CAD (Cadence) support engineer is to provide CAD support for all design and layout engineers and to ensure continuous improvement of the ICsense design environment for higher efficiency and user friendliness. You work closely together with other CAD Support Engineers.

Responsibilities

· Develop custom tools (from automation scripts to GUI’s) for the ICsense design environment in Python, SKILL and Matlab

· Act as CAD Support Engineer:

 maintenance and configuration of the CAD tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens, Matlab, Perforce, …)

 maintenance, development and configuration of the proprietary ICsense design environment

 maintenance and installation of the IC technologies and PDKs at ICsense

 give CAD support for the designers and layouters at ICsense

· Work closely together with other CAD Support Engineers

· CAD user group: participate in the regular meetings and ensure follow up of the discussed items

· Support internal CAD training initiatives

· Write documentation, manuals and keep the CAD information on

up

date

Competences

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics or Informatics
  • You have experience with programming languages like Python, scripting
  • You have experience working in a Linux environment
  • You have an affinity for ASIC design/layout or PCB concepts
  • Experience with CAD tools from Cadence/Synopsys/Siemens/Matlab is a plus
  • You communicate fluently in English (oral and written)
  • You are well-organized and able to work independently
