Job description

Globetrotters currently operates two architectural studios in-house, and this role is responsible for managing a dedicated studio team, supporting growth, and maintaining design excellence across projects that directly impact communities.

In this position, you will:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Clearly define project scope, timelines, and costs, and ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead and manage a team of architects and production staff.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop both existing and newly hired architects.
  • Oversee studio operations, including workflow management, staffing coordination, and project delivery.
  • Foster strong collaboration and communication across all team members and disciplines.
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Track expenditures and control costs to prevent budget overruns.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, providing consistent updates and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Ensure all design and construction activities comply with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify and resolve design challenges while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of drawings, specifications, and team deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard project timelines, costs, and quality.
  • Maintain accurate and current project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
  • Monitor and document project milestones to ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare and review progress reports, budget updates, and final project reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (required).
  • Licensed Architect (required).
  • Minimum of 20 years of progressive professional experience in architecture.
  • Extensive experience serving as a Project Manager and/or Studio Manager.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • PMP certification a plus.
  • Proficiency in CADD and Revit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and leading dedicated architectural teams.
  • Experience overseeing studio operations within a multi-studio or multi-office environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of architectural design and construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead both established and newly formed teams.
  • Strong understanding of related disciplines with the ability to lead interdisciplinary coordination.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards, including ADA compliance.
  • Ability to work on-site five days per week.

Salary range is $160,000 - $190,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
