Software Engineer

We are building the Finance platform of the future - layering automation and AI on top of our core ERP systems (JD Edwards and SAP primarily, with NetSuite and Microsoft Business Central also in scope) and connected edge applications. We’re looking for a hands-on software developer to help design and build this next generation of finance tooling.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of enterprise finance systems and modern AI engineering. You’ll be working closely with our Finance and IT teams to understand real operational needs and translate them into automated, AI-powered solutions. There is significant room to learn and grow within our environment as we explore what’s required to build this capability, and to help upskill our internal team along the way.

This role begins as a contract engagement with the potential to convert to a full-time position if there is a strong long-term fit.

Location & Work Arrangement

This is an in-office role based in Minneapolis, MN. On-site presence is required in order to work closely and collaboratively with our Finance and IT teams, who are based in MPLS. We are prioritizing local candidates for this search.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and deploy applications on Azure Cloud (PaaS) that automate and enhance finance workflows across our ERP landscape.
• Develop integrations and edge applications that connect ERP systems (JDE, SAP, NetSuite, MS Business Central) with automation and AI services.
• Build and deploy infrastructure as code, using Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to manage releases.
• Design and develop AI-powered applications and services using Azure AI offerings, including Azure AI Foundry.
• Design and build agent-based applications, with a preference for the Microsoft Agent Framework (.NET or Python), and familiarity with alternatives such as LangGraph or LangChain.
• Work across a range of database technologies - including Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake - to support platform and integration needs.
• Collaborate closely with Finance and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and iterate on solutions in a fast-moving, exploratory environment.
• Contribute to upskilling internal team members as the platform and practices mature.

• Azure Cloud: proven experience building and deploying applications to Azure Cloud PaaS.
• Infrastructure as Code: experience deploying to the cloud using Azure DevOps CI/CD.
• .NET: required, strong hands-on development experience.
• Databases: experience with one or more of Cosmos DB, Postgres, SQL, Oracle, or Snowflake.

Nice to Have

• Python, React, Node.js, or Java development experience.
• Prior experience designing or developing custom AI applications in Azure, including work with Azure AI Foundry projects - this experience is uncommon and highly valued.
• Experience designing agent-based applications using the Microsoft Agent Framework, LangGraph, LangChain, or similar open-source frameworks.
• Prior experience working with or around ERP systems (JDE, SAP, NetSuite, MS Business Central) or finance operations.

$70,000 - $150,000 a year - Full-time, Contract
