GIS Analyst

We are looking for a GIS Analyst to develop, maintain, and manage geospatial information supporting facility planning, engineering, asset management, and emergency-response activities at Schriever Space Force Base., * Develop, update, organize, and maintain installation GIS files and geospatial databases.

• Maintain accurate geospatial information reflecting current facility and infrastructure conditions.
• Create maps and other geospatial products to support planning, engineering, and decision-making.
• Provide geospatial support for emergency response and asset-management requirements.
• Develop cartographic products and data visualizations.
• Apply geospatial principles and analytical techniques to installation requirements.
• Manage digital geospatial products, datasets, and processes.
• Perform quality control to maintain accuracy and consistency of GIS information.
• Coordinate geospatial information with other facility and asset-management systems.
• Support integration with NexGen IT and other approved systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on GIS experience and a strong understanding of geospatial data, cartography, mapping, and digital geospatial processes., * Associate degree in a science-related discipline; OR

• At least 2 years of experience in a technical or geospatial field.
• Strong knowledge of GIS and geospatial concepts, principles, and practices.
• Understanding of cartography and digital geospatial products.
• Ability to organize and maintain technical datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Esri ArcGIS platform.
• Familiarity with remote sensing and scientific data visualization.
• Experience with the Air Force GeoBase program.
• Previous military installation or federal facilities experience., * technical or geospatial field: 2 years (Required)
