Job description

The Colorado-based VIVID Engineering Group, Inc. (VIVID) is looking for a Part-Time Experienced Transmission Line Engineer, Technical Expert, or Lineman to manage a team of Transmission Line Inspectors & Observers and assist with pursuits, and provide technical expertise to the team and clients.

The candidate is responsible for assisting with project pursuits, managing a team of inspectors, and providing technical expertise during construction. Candidate will oversee a team of inspectors who perform daily on-site inspections to verify the work is being completed in strict accordance with drawings and specifications of approved project documents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with project pursuits. (RFP responses, estimating, client meetings, etc.)
  • Oversee and train a team of T-Line Inspectors
  • Assist with the creation of inspection report forms and procedures
  • Interact professionally with clients and contractors
  • Review discrepancies and nonconformances
  • Provide technical recommendations to clients, contractors, and engineers
  • ensure conformance to contract documents
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed by the inspection team

Requirements

  • 15+ years of line work in transmission, distribution, or substation.
  • Previous transmission construction and inspection experience is preferred.
  • Journeyman Lineman or Transmission Line Electrical Engineering experience preferred.
  • Able to train and oversee T-Line Inspectors
  • Able to review plans and construction plans for errors
  • In-depth knowledge of construction principles and techniques, including construction specifications, drawings and conformance requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to perform web-based tasks
  • Proficient in Project Management programs like Procore, ArcGIS, Field Maps, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with team and clients.
  • Excellent written skills

Benefits & conditions

5.05.0 out of 5 stars Denver, CO 80207 Hybrid work $45 - $75 an hour - Part-time, * This is a non-project specific non-exempt/hourly position. The hours will fluctuate based on project and pursuit needs.

  • This position will be part-time to start

Pay: $45.00 - $75.00 per hour
