Dev Ops Engineer - Observability Platform

DevOps Engineer - Observability Platform

Help build the observability foundation that enables Rabobank’s Transaction Monitoring solutions to run reliably, securely, and at scale. As part of a team of six engineers, you will develop platform capabilities that provide model squads with the insights they need into performance, reliability, and operational health across our Databricks-based platform.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will help shape and evolve the observability capabilities of our Transaction Monitoring platform. You will develop and optimise monitoring, logging, and operational insights that enable model squads to build, operate, and improve their services with confidence.

You combine software engineering with operational excellence, translating platform and user needs into scalable solutions. By working closely with multiple squads, you ensure observability capabilities are easy to adopt, valuable to users, and continuously improving.

  • Develop and enhance observability capabilities that enable model squads to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise their workloads.
  • Design and improve platform-wide logging, dashboards, alerting, and operational insights using Azure Log Analytics and related observability tooling.
  • Build and automate engineering solutions that improve platform reliability, operational efficiency, and overall user experience.

  • 36 hours per week.
  • You will work on a Databricks platform supporting multiple Transaction Monitoring model squads.
  • You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of 6 engineers focused on platform excellence and reliability.

  • Develop and enhance observability, monitoring, and logging capabilities across the platform.
  • Build engineering solutions that improve platform reliability, automation, and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with model squads to understand their needs and drive successful adoption of platform capabilities.

You will work in an environment where software engineering, platform operations, and stakeholder collaboration come together. You actively engage with platform users, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate those into technical solutions that help our Transaction Monitoring teams deliver value.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps engineering.
  • Experience with Azure, Databricks, Python, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with observability tooling, monitoring solutions, and logging platforms such as Azure Log Analytics.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach towards stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships and drive adoption of platform capabilities with multiple squads.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement mentality.
  • You must be legally authorised to work in the Netherlands and reside in the Netherlands.
