Job description

This is a senior engineering role where you’ll contribute across the full software lifecycle-from architecture and solution design through implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement. You’ll help shape technical direction, mentor fellow engineers, and build resilient cloud-native solutions within a highly regulated banking and payments environment.

The team embraces modern engineering practices, leveraging AWS, GitHub, and AI-assisted software development as part of everyday delivery., * Design, build, and evolve highly available payment services and platforms.

Architect scalable microservices for mission-critical payment processing.
Deliver full-stack solutions across backend services and frontend applications.
Drive technical decision-making and influence engineering standards.
Build secure, resilient cloud-native applications on AWS.
Improve system performance, reliability, observability, and maintainability.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical coaching, and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders.
Embed AI-assisted development into engineering workflows to improve quality and delivery speed.

Requirements

Extensive senior-level software engineering experience building large-scale digital products or platforms.
Strong experience within the payments domain, including:
Payment processing
Transaction flows
PSD2
Payment gateways
Acquiring
Digital wallets
Proven experience designing and implementing production-grade microservices architectures.
Strong hands-on AWS experience, including:
ECS
Lambda
DynamoDB
SNS
SQS
CloudFormation
Strong development experience with:
TypeScript
Node.js
React
Java
Spring Boot
AWS CDK
Experience working with AI-native or Agentic Engineering practices.
Daily professional experience using GitHub Copilot (or similar AI coding assistants).
Experience with GitHub Actions and AI-assisted CI/CD workflows.
Previous experience within banking, fintech, or regulated financial services.
