Network Infrastructure Engineer (Cisco | Linux | Automation) | Baarn | Fulltime | 1-4 yr experience

This isn’t a traditional corporate networking role. You’ll be involved in carrier grade infrastructure spanning global telecom, ISP, satellite, and mobile networks, delivering secure connectivity services as part of a highly resilient Network-as-a-Service platform.

You’ll work with modern networking technologies, Linux, virtualization, SD-WAN, security, and infrastructure automation. You’ll contribute to the development and continuous improvement of production infrastructure across international data centers and cloud environments, while collaborating with experienced engineers on challenging projects for customers around the world.

What you’ll do

• Design, configure and maintain routers, switches and firewalls.
• Build and operate enterprise and ISP networks using BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN and VRFs.
• Administer Linux servers, VMware virtualization and container platforms.
• Deploy SD-WAN solutions and improve network performance and security.
• Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Git and Python.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve live production environments.
• Occasionally travel to customer or project locations.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges and wants to continue developing as an engineer. You’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working and thinking level.
• 1-4 years of experience in networking, infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching and network security.
• Experience with Linux and an interest in automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Cisco CCNA certification or the ambition to obtain it.
