They have pioneered a gate system that streamlines vehicle inspections, delivering a highly accurate damage report in less than 10 seconds after a vehicle drives through. This revolutionary approach not only saves time but also significantly reduces costs.
Having spent two years in active development, they are now poised to implement and install this solution for their customer base.

Join a dynamic team of 20 young and bright individuals dedicated to reshaping the future of automated vehicle inspections. As a Hardware Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the inspection gate, always seeking the best modifications to ensure optimal damage inspection performance. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on experimentation and enjoys the process of prototyping.
Responsibilities:

Maintain and improve the primary hardware components inside the inspection gate, including:

Vehicle detection sensors
-
Vehicle capture cameras
-
Vehicle illumination lights
-
On-site edge computer for image processing
-
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the gate or introduce new features. For example, researching the optimal camera and light placement for the best image quality under varying light conditions.

Optimize the gate setup for scalability and reliability, which might involve replacing the current edge computer with a low-power embedded device, enhancing vehicle detection, improving gate sensor assembly scalability, or exploring remote management and testing tools.
Requirements
Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems and Automation, or a related field.

Experience with quality control systems.

Proficiency in designing and developing machine vision cameras and interfacing with multi-camera systems.

Familiarity with lights and sensors for machine vision cameras.

Knowledge of network infrastructure.

Experience in developing embedded systems.

Proficiency in Python.

Knowledge or experience with AI.

Affinity or experience with photography.

Experience with CAD and design validation.
-
Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, with the confidence to engage in technical debates.

Ability to work independently, present ideas, and collaborate closely with the team.

A proactive, flexible, problem-solving attitude, combined with an experiential and team-player mindset.
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: 45,360 61,560 annually (3,500 - 4,750 gross monthly).

Holiday Allowance: 8%

300 monthly education budget.

Pension Contribution: 10% by the employee, 20% by the employer.
