Job description

As Senior Software Engineer - Product Content Automation, you will own the software-engineering and cloud-delivery capability for product content automation. You will translate business, data and AI use cases into secure, reliable and maintainable production services on Google Cloud.

Your role

You will design, develop, and deploy production-grade automation solutions that support product content processes.

Working with business stakeholders, the Data Analyst and the Data Scientist, you will build solutions that make product content smarter. As the first engineer in the new team, you will have significant ownership while building on Kramp’s established technical foundations and collaborating with engineers and architects across the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build production software by designing, developing and maintaining modular, secure and testable backend services, REST APIs and integrations, using appropriate synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven or batch-processing patterns.

  • Own cloud delivery and operability by deploying and operating services on Google Cloud, implementing CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, logging and secrets management, while ensuring solutions are secure, traceable, auditable and supportable in production.

  • Productionise data and AI use cases by building service, integration and workflow layers around models, and implementing validation, monitoring, fallback and exception-handling mechanisms, including human-in-the-loop processes where automated outcomes require review.

  • Establish engineering foundations by applying engineering standards, creating team-level practices, documenting technical decisions and reusable patterns, and collaborating with engineers across teams to ensure effective software and architecture reviews.

Your team

You will become part of the newly created Product Content Automation team. The team currently consists of data analyst, data scientist, and team lead .

As the Senior Software Engineer, you will establish the technical foundation for automation and AI-related solutions. You will work closely with engineers across platform, integration, assortment teams, and collaborate with business teams across Kramp.

Requirements

You are a senior software engineer who combines strong production-engineering standards with pragmatic business judgment.

  • You are an experienced software engineer with a proven track record building production-ready backend services, APIs and integrations using clean, modular and testable approaches.

  • You are proficient in TypeScript (preferred), Java or comparable language. Python experience is an advantage for working with data and AI-related use cases.

  • You are comfortable owning technical decisions independently while actively seeking input, review and alignment with architects, engineers and other specialists when needed.

  • You have experience with cloud-native development and deployment, preferably on Google Cloud Platform, including containers, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices.

  • You are security-aware and quality-focused, with knowledge of IAM, secrets management, monitoring, logging, traceability and building reliable, auditable solutions.

  • You communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with AI-related solutions, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or machine learning operations is a plus. More important than specific AI experience is your ability to connect technology choices to real business problems and build solutions that create value.
