Senior Linux, AIX & Oracle Database Administrator 2 Year Fixed-Term ContractSalary: Circa 80,000 + BonusLocation: London / Hybrid WorkingAre you an experienced Oracle DBA with deep Linux and AIX expertise, looking for an opportunity to work on mission-critical banking platforms in a highly regulated financial environment?This is your chance to join a well-established financial services organisation where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting and optimising enterprise-scale Oracle and infrastructure environments that underpin core banking operations.Working within a highly skilled IT infrastructure team, you’ll take ownership of complex Oracle database environments, Linux and AIX administration, and the ongoing stability and performance of critical banking applications including Oracle Flexcube and Oracle ERP.If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, working across high-availability environments, and contributing to the resilience and scalability of critical financial systems, this could be the ideal next move for you.What You’ll Be DoingAdministering, optimising and supporting Oracle databases within mission-critical banking environmentsManaging and maintaining Red Hat Linux and IBM AIX server infrastructure hosting core banking applicationsPerforming database and OS patching, upgrades, performance tuning and capacity optimisationSupporting Oracle Flexcube and Oracle ERP platforms to ensure high availability and operational resilienceImplementing and managing Oracle backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and Data GuardTroubleshooting complex infrastructure and database issues in collaboration with application and infrastructure teamsAutomating operational tasks through shell scripting and system administration toolingSupporting disaster recovery planning, testing and incident response activitiesEnsuring systems remain compliant with internal security standards and regulatory requirementsProducing and maintaining technical documentation, procedures
