Job description
- Own incident monitoring and response for EMEA operations.
- Classify, prioritise, and escalate security events, driving them through to root cause and closure.
- Lead vulnerability management end to end, including assessments, validation, remediation, and patching.
- Assess and certify servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure for compliance with security requirements.
- Implement and enforce security controls across ICT systems, including access management and RBAC.
- Advise project teams on security risk and approve or block changes based on assessed impact.
- Extend security oversight into OT environments, including incident response and compliance validation.

Requirements
- Solid experience in vulnerability management using tools such as Qualys or Rapid7 InsightVM.
- Strong background in incident response and SOC operations, ideally with exposure to SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.
- Working knowledge of network security, including firewalls, IDS, RBAC, LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, and platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco.
- Exposure to OT or industrial control systems is a strong advantage.
- Confidence advising and pushing back on stakeholders across a global organisation.
- A degree in IT or equivalent hands-on experience.
Benefits & conditions
We are an established global organisation with a small EMA team based just outside Glasgow. This is a hands-on infrastructure and operational security role with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days on site in Glasgow. We offer a salary of £60,000 to £70,000, plus a bonus, pension, generous holiday allowance with the option to purchase more each year, and additional benefits.
