Job description

  • Designs, develops, debugs, tests and releases firmware for Azure’s custom AI silicon programs, including developing and testing firmware on pre-silicon platforms and post-silicon platforms.
  • Collaborates with silicon, hardware, architecture and software/firmware teams to deliver secure, production-grade firmware.
  • Participates and drives SoC bring up and troubleshooting.
  • Participates and supports silicon’s Data Center deployment and operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field OR equivalent experience., * Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding OR equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in embedded RUST, RUST RTOS’s and toolchains
  • Experience with SoC bring-up, OS primitives, and multi-threading
  • Experience in working in pre-silicon environments

Firmware Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,400 - $168,100 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $111,100 - $183,700 per year.
