What You’ll Do

Connecting new source systems to the customer data lake.
Migration of current ETL processes (DL 1.0) to the new Data Lake (DL 2.0).
Implementation of monitoring and alerting mechanisms around the data lake ETLs to improve observability.
Performing monitoring activities and providing support in resolving ETL-related incidents in pre-production and production environments.

Requirements

Proficiency with Kafka event streaming - Strong expertise required.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark - Advanced knowledge necessary.
Experience in working with ETL to data lake stages - Hands-on experience required.
Experience with version control systems (GitHub) - Familiarity with workflows.
Practical experience with CDK in Python (Infrastructure as Code).
Hands-on experience with AWS native services (Athena, Glue, Lambda, ECS).
DataOps, maintenance & support - Ability to manage and optimize pipelines.
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
Precision and security awareness - Attention to detail and secure coding practices.
Conceptual and analytical thinking - Ability to connect insights and patterns.
Problem-solving and critical thinking - Logical and structured approach to challenges.
Familiarity with Agile Ways of Working (WoW), including time management, prioritization, and adaptability.
Quality assurance (CI/CD) - Experience with continuous integration and deployment.
Basic knowledge of Redshift and Data Warehousing - Understanding of ETL for BI purposes.
DevSecOps - Experience with AWS security (IAM policies, security groups, etc.)

Nice to Have

Familiarity with data quality practices, including validation and governance.
Innovative mindset - Willingness to explore and implement new solutions.
Domain knowledge in logistics and supply chain.
Dutch language proficiency - Beneficial for communication with local stakeholders
