Job description
The Technology Support Manager serves as the primary liaison between Chartwells and St. Louis Public Schools, providing hands-on technical support and system administration across a large K-12 district supporting 58 school/buildings. This role is responsible for supporting proprietary nutrition services software, managing data files, troubleshooting Point of Sale (POS) systems, and ensuring seamless technology operations throughout school cafeterias and district locations. Based out of the warehouse office, the position requires regular travel to schools to diagnose and resolve technical issues and provide exceptional customer support.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, resourceful, and highly responsive technology professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This individual must be comfortable working independently while building strong partnerships with District personnel, school administrators, and frontline staff. Success in this role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Candidates with strong IT support background experience will be especially successful in this position., * Strong IT support and troubleshooting experience
- Experience supporting POS systems (Horizon experience preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Publisher, Visio, and related applications
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic-thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to build strong partnerships with teams, school administrators, and hourly staff
- Self-directed, organized, and deadline-driven
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Hands-on technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot laptops, desktops, software applications, and related technology
- High standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior, * Bachelor’s Degree or IT-related degree preferred
- Experience working in K-12 school environments
- Experience supporting school nutrition technology systems and state reporting processes
- Horizon POS experience preferred
- Experience with laptop, desktop, and end-user technology support
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate business needs and adapt to change
- Ability to balance both technical responsibilities and operational/management-related duties
