Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Windchill PDMLink Architect for a long-term remote project. The selected candidate will lead the design, architecture, implementation, and customization of enterprise Windchill PDMLink solutions.

This role requires strong experience with upstream CAD integrations, including Creo, CATIA, or NX, and downstream integrations with SAP ERP 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Windchill PDMLink solution architecture and implementation.
  • Translate business requirements into flexible, modular, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.
  • Evaluate functional and technical gaps and recommend configuration, process workarounds, or custom development.
  • Establish and enforce customization standards for Actions, Validators, Listeners, Workflows, ACLs, and OIRs.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert across PLM domains, including Change Management, BOM, Product Structure, CAD Data Management, and Supplier Management.
  • Design and manage upstream integrations with Creo, CATIA, or NX.
  • Design and govern downstream integrations with SAP ERP 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Review application code and ensure compliance with architectural and development standards.
  • Govern deployments and manage configurations across multiple environments using Git.
  • Support QA, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, go-live, and post-production activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, integration, database, and performance issues.
  • Mentor developers and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working with Windchill PLM.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Windchill Architect.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience configuring and customizing Windchill PDMLink versions 11.x or 12.
  • 5+ years of experience independently defining technical architectures and driving enterprise projects.
  • Strong expertise in PDMLink Lifecycle Management, OIR, ACLs, BOM, Change Management, Product Structure, and CAD Data Management.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Windchill with Creo, CATIA, or NX.
  • Experience integrating Windchill with SAP ERP 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Strong development experience with Java, JSP, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, Info*Engine, and Web Services.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Experience using Git for source control and multi-environment deployment management.
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, development teams, QA teams, and integration teams.
