Job description

The platform is developed through small cross-functional pods operating on a shared technology foundation, allowing teams to deliver business value quickly while maintaining consistency, scalability and high product quality across all markets., As the second senior engineer within the platform team, you will contribute to the core components on which all product pods rely: the workflow engine, authentication and authorisation, the data model, and API v1. You will help transform a working prototype, built with Vue 3 / Nuxt 3, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Temporal and Azure, into a robust, secure, production-grade multi-tenant platform :

  • Build the platform core with the pod lead: workflow orchestration (approvals, SLA timers, multi-actor handoffs), API platform, data layer, integration framework.
  • Own hard technical calls on your surfaces: architecture, stack evolution, scaling.
  • Deliver the multi-tenancy and authorisation work that every client-facing module depends on.
  • Design for multi-country from day one (UK, DE, FR, ES, BE/NL): country business rules, tax, compliance.
  • Set the patterns the product pods copy: testing, observability, module conventions.
  • Work AI-native: coding agents are part of the team; you define how their output is validated and industrialised.

Requirements

  • 8+ years building software, with significant enterprise SaaS experience.
  • Deep TypeScript / Node. Experience with state machines or workflow engines (Temporal, XState or equivalent) is a strong plus.
  • Real multi-tenancy and authorisation experience - this is the first thing you will work on.
  • Pragmatic architect: ships incrementally, documents decisions, keeps the bar high where most code is agent-generated.
  • Already fluent with AI coding tools, or hungry to become so. This is how the team works.
  • Comfortable with legacy, ambiguity and multi-country enterprise reality.
  • English is the working language. Remote-friendly within the EU.
