Distinguished Engineer - Cloud Services

Experteer Overview In this distinguished role, you define and build next-gen distributed infrastructure platforms for large-scale AI and enterprise deployments. You lead architecture, write production-grade software, and prototype new technologies while partnering with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable platform capabilities. You remain actively involved in code and influence long-term technical direction. You will tackle complex challenges across cloud, edge, and hybrid environments to enable AI-driven operations. Compensation / Benefits * Design and develop distributed platform services for cloud, edge, and hybrid environments * Build scalable control planes, microservices, and APIs using Go, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and Kubernetes-based architectures * Design observability and telemetry platforms with OpenTelemetry, Kafka, ClickHouse, VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalents * Develop platform automation, orchestration, and AI-assisted operational workflows for provisioning, deployment, lifecycle management, and health * Prototype new technologies to evaluate tradeoffs, drive architecture, perform code reviews, and collaborate across Product, Customer Engineering, and Software Engineering teams Tasks * 18+ years designing and building large-scale distributed systems for enterprise, cloud, or infrastructure platforms * Expert-level Go development (or comparable systems language like Rust or C++) with deep distributed systems knowledge * Extensive experience with microservices, gRPC, REST APIs, Kubernetes-based platforms, and hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure * Experience with OpenTelemetry, telemetry pipelines, stream processing (Kafka), and large-scale observability platforms * Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, ArangoDB, graph databases, time-series databases, and distributed data architectures * Experience designing secure multi-tenant platforms including RBAC, authentication, authorization, and enterprise identity integration * Proven ability to prototype complex solutions, evaluate tradeoffs, and deliver production-quality software * Excellent communication skills for presenting designs to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders Key requirements * Medical, Prescription, Dental & Vision Benefits * Health Savings Account (HSA) * Life & Disability Insurance * MetLife Voluntary Benefits * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * 401K Retirement Savings Plan
