Job description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for desktop, web, and backend applications.
  • Develop automated functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites.
  • Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and product teams to define automation strategies and improve software quality.
  • Design and implement reusable automation libraries and utilities following software engineering best practices.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
  • Review product requirements and technical specifications to identify automation opportunities and improve test coverage.
  • Execute automated test suites, analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and report defects.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the automation framework.
  • Support build, deployment, and automation activities through basic DevOps practices.
  • Ensure automation solutions are maintainable, scalable, and aligned with software design principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in software test automation.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, C# or JavaScript.
  • Experience supporting software verification activities within regulated medical device environments.
  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing automation frameworks.
  • Experience with UI, API, and integration test automation.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience using version control systems.
  • Basic understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and automated build processes.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • German language proficiency, * Experience in the medical imaging or healthcare software domain.
  • Experience automating desktop applications, web applications, and REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent automation technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools.

Benefits & conditions

  • based on seniority and experience, our budget for the role is between 55k - 90k Euro gross/year
